  well how the devil is everyone?

  i have not been here for a long time........totally lost track of what is going on in jw land, apart from the little bits i hear from family members still in.

  (they say everything is swell and that armageddon is just round the corner).... :).was hearing that anniesland congregation in glasgow has been (or is about to be) disbanded.

  a woman who claimed jehovah's witness elders failed to protect her from sex abuse carried out by a convicted paedophile has won a six-figure payout.

  Annual Report out yet?

  hey guys - i do not post on here very often these days, though i regularly pop in to catch up.. just wondering if the latest annual report was out yet - i am completely out of touch with watchtower land.. have they crashed and burned or are the still on the up and up?.

  Have you ever watched GOD.TV - its crazy!!!!

  just flicking through the channels the other day and came across god.tv, which i have glanced at a few times previously.. anyway, they are currently trying to raise $4 million so they can keep broadcasting.. to set the scene - they have built a stone alter in the middle of the studio - on top of which they (rory and wendy alec) are placing printed off pledges.. they then start to pray and sprinkle anointing oil over the pledges while mumbling some strange hebrew words as well as wendy swaying from side to side as if she has had a bit to much to drink.. going along the bottom of the screen was "we need $4 million in the bank before may 31st" - i then realised that it was june 13th!!!!.

  i believe in god but after watching this i can understand why some view religious people as a bit wacko.. tune in to witness the craziness for yourself.. the scotsman.

  Hmm this could be tricky - I am going to a JW wedding.

  yes a close family member of mine is getting married next weekend and me and mrs scotsman have been invited.. to set the scene - i have not been to a meeting in 2 years, 2 months and for mrs scotsman it is just under 2 years - so we have not seen any of our ex jw associates since then - but they will all be at the wedding!!!!.

  we are not dad or dfd so they will be able to talk to us if they feel the urge.. the good thing is we are not the only ex jws/non jws going, so this will help.. the worry i have is what some of these jws might try.

  for many of them, the last time they seen me i was an elder flying the wt flag - now i am out the truth dead at armageddon!.

  when the delighted crew congratulated the winner and advised him how to claim his prize he apparently became upset that ryanairs cabin crew could not pay him the 10,000 there and then on the flight.

  When is the Annual Report out???????

  hello everyone.. its been a while since i posted here - i do pop in now and then to catch up on the latest scandal / news.. i was wondering if the latest annual report is out yet and if not, when is it out?

  must be soon surely!!!.

  i am hoping to see a global demise of the wtbts - this is perhaps unlikely.

  3 a.m. - my wife is in tears! What do I do?

  well my situation has developed a bit, any advice appreciated.. their has been a gradual building up of pressure ever since i stood down as an elder about 6 months ago.. i have been telling my wife about my doubts but have continued to attend "some" meetings.. as time has progressed i have become more open with my criticism of the org.. i mentioned the un scandal, molestation trials, false prophecy ect etc.. interestingly she does not deny these facts and yet still wants to continue as a jw.. i told her that god is not happy with people knowingly being part of a false prophet (deut 18 - etc) - starting to lay the groundwork for my exit.. she appreciates the difficult situation doubters are in - they cannot openly express their feelings for fear of jcs.. anyway, a few weeks ago we moved house which meant changing congregation.. but i felt it would be best if i did not attend meetings " at all" at the new cong so my fade could be easier.. but i could not have predicted my wifes response - when i told her it was an explosion of emotion, i mean real heartbreaker stuff.. she seems depressed at the prospect, perhaps the reality is finally hitting home.. last night, about 3a.m.

  i noticed that she was not in bed.

  i went downstairs and she was sobbing away to herself.. "i can't go to that hall myself!
